Instagram adds user post notifications (April 2015)
So in one of the latest updates, Instagram has snuck a new feature in pretty quietly. You can now turn on post notifications for individual users that you follow, so whenever they post an image you will be notified via a push notification.
Get Push notifications everytime your favourite Istagrammer posts
It's pretty simple to turn on:
View your favourite Instagrammer(s) profile. In the top right of the screen, click the three dots. From there the option will appear (see image above).
Seems like a pretty handy feature, especially if you follow a ton of people. I still would have rather they made a favourites list or something so that instead of getting unnecessarily interrupted each time one of my favourite Instagrammers post something, I can browse a list of them at my own leisure. Maybe they're worried that we'd only browse our favourites list (making the home feed kind of useless).
Users won't know you've turned on their Post Notifications
I've gotten this question a lot. When you turn on post notifications for someone, they won't know that you've turned it on. It is completely anonymous. The only person that will know is you. You'll get a push notification when they post a photo - that's it.
I hope this guide has helped!

Friends! I got some photos (and a vlog) for you from a weeked trip away to Mt Fuji. We head to Mt Fuji for the weekend to chase some Autumn colours (with Fooj in the back obviously). If you have never been to Mt Fuji, be warned that depending on the time of year, it might not always be visible. It is kind of crazy thinking about how huge the mountain is and how it can just hide from you so easily in the clouds. I was once told by a tour guide that Mt Fuji is female because she likes to hide from you and will only appear if you are nice. Click through for more word and some photos to match.
