Photo editing, Cinemagraphs & Photography tips
Adobe livestreams
Hi friends. Recently I did a series of livestreams with Adobe - 3 to be exact. Thanks to those who were able to tune in. If you didn’t, they’ve now been uploaded to Adobe Asia Pacific’s YouTube channel for you to watch after the fact. To watch, click the video above (or titles below for individual episodes). Check the out when you have a second and please let me know what you think!
episode 01- colour grading in lightroom + removing distractions (photoshop)
In the first episode Flyn & I go through an edit of one of my favourite photos I took on my most recent Japan trip. I share GoPro footage me actually capturing the photo, talk through the process and then show you my entire workflow - from the Lightroom colour grade to cleaning it up in photoshop.
EPISODE 02 - CREATING CINEMAGRAPHS IN PHOTOSHOP, PREMIERE PRO & AFTER EFFECTS
In this episode I run through my cinemagraph process and a bunch of techniques of how I stabilise and loop my cinemagraphs. It is important to know what footage is salvageable and what isn’t (a lot of my cinemagraphs are actually hand held smartphone footage).
EPISODE 03 - FUNDAMENTALS & BASICS IN PHOTOGRAPHY
The third & final episode I decided to bring it back to the basics - the fundamentals of photography. Flyn & I chat about some basic principles of photography & visual design which I believe are quite important concepts to grasp: the rule of odds, the dominant eye, symmetry, natural frames and more.
Friends! I got some photos (and a vlog) for you from a weeked trip away to Mt Fuji. We head to Mt Fuji for the weekend to chase some Autumn colours (with Fooj in the back obviously). If you have never been to Mt Fuji, be warned that depending on the time of year, it might not always be visible. It is kind of crazy thinking about how huge the mountain is and how it can just hide from you so easily in the clouds. I was once told by a tour guide that Mt Fuji is female because she likes to hide from you and will only appear if you are nice. Click through for more word and some photos to match.
